Welcome from the President and CEO,

Britton & Koontz Bank enjoys a long history of banking service. Only a select group of commercial banks bear the name of their original founders as we do, and those financial institutions have generally been around for a long time. In the case of B&K, a respected record of financial service can be traced to 1836.

Our name speaks of tradition but our geographic footprint mirrors a financial institution on the move. Headquartered in historic Natchez high on the bluffs of the Mississippi River, B&K operates three full service locations. Further to the south in dynamic Baton Rouge, Louisiana, B&K offers a signature office on Bluebonnet Boulevard. Northward along the great river in the growing city of Vicksburg, the bank has two very new and convenient full service locations.

Our years in the banking business, convenient locations, and great technology are important to you, our customers. But our success ultimately centers on providing the answers to your financial needs from a team of highly professional, friendly bankers who are consistently accessible to you when you need them.

We appreciate the trust that our customers have placed in us over the years, and for that we are sincerely thankful. If you're considering a new bank, we hope that you will look for answers at B&K.

W. Page Ogden
President & CEO

Our History

The Britton & Koontz names have been by-words in banking since 1836 when William A Britton, his brother Audley C. Britton, and George M. Koontz established their private banking firm in Natchez, MS. It was in 1866 that they consolidated their interests and organized Britton & Koontz Bank, a partnership.

Today Britton & Koontz Bank is a $377 million dollar bank headquartered in Natchez, Mississippi, the oldest settlement on the Mississippi River in Mississippi's southwest corner. B&K's historical ties strengthen our relationship with the markets in which we have expanded up the Mississippi River to Vicksburg. and down the river corridor to Baton Rouge, LA.

For nearly 2 centuries we have helped countless families and businesses in the region bring their goals and dreams within reach. Offering a comprehensive roster of personal and business banking services—as well as a full-service brokerage—B&K Bank continues to meet the ever-changing financial needs of the communities it serves.
